A new study released by NSW Food Authority and NSW Health found that men are most likely to put on weight over winter with 53 per cent of males gaining an average of 2-5 kg weight compared to 38 per cent of females.
The report also suggested that nearly half of Australians are expected to put on at least two kilos over the next three months.
While we are the 25th fattest country in the world, our obesity rates are some of the fastest growing rates in the world, which is an alarming thought. So we really can’t afford to have these 2-3 extra kilos pile up during the cooler months.
