Five:AM yoghurt is preferential here as it contains less ingredients and a lower sugar content. Organic dairy is also higher in nutrition as the cows are kept in pristine conditions and provided quality feed, which directly impacts the products made from their milk. A sugar content of 11% is still too high, and a better choice again would be Five:AM natural no added sugar yoghurt, which is only 5.6% sugar and contains only organic milk, organic milk solids, milk solids, live cultures (incl. probiotics acidophilus and bifidus).
The selling point for Activia is the probiotic cultures and the digestive support this provides. The problem with this yoghurt however is that sugar is the main ingredient, contributing to a 13.2% sugar load. The low fat nature is not supported by modern research and nutritional guidelines, as good fats are essential for blood sugar control and satiety, and essential for mood, metabolism, hormone production and heart health.
